Nostalgia - Nilgiris Trek

exactly one year bak i went for my first ever experience with trekking... n must say... it was terrific... moving up d nilgiris mountain, admiring d natural beauty... sometimes d slope was slippery... one wrong foot n u dont no wat wil happen next... sometime cursing myself y i came on this trip... i cannot forgot the climp up the last hill... it was steep.... n i mean reAl steep... somehow made it... n boy... look down... view was wonderful... whole body was paining but mentally, never felt so relaxing... i felt something inside which i cud never forget... dats wat i want.. mental relaxation..... no worries... no tensions...close ur eyes n feel d air around... listen to sound of wind... just forget everythng else... only becoz of dat experience, still i yearn to go for more trekkin trips.... n i met few people whom i m still in touch... thr was animesh, vishal, KP n arun... i went on more treks wid vishal, KP n arun... wonderful guys... no worry at all.. just believe in pure fun... den thr was this trek special tasty theplas... hvng them with bissibelle bath in chilly weather near so-called (:)) camp fire... those 2 fun-filled days are still etched on my mind...

stroll down d NY streets

stroll down d NY streets... in dis chilly weather whr d temp is below zero nd winds r blowin to pierce ur body... nah... who in his senses will do dat... it was thanks to the MTA strike... no transit subways... no buses... n all d cabs were full... so i had to take a WALK from 33rd street path station to my office at 42nd street... it was freezin but to tell d truth, i enjoied it... if not for my laptop, it wud hv been really fun... people were ridin bicycles.. skateboards.. roller skates.. all means were employed... it took me around 30 minutes to reach office n by d time i was thr, i was fully exhausted... no wat... evryone came to office bravin d cold weather... so i was not alone.. :-)

but i really hope dat dis gets over soon... once in a while dis is ok... but daily.. man, i will die.... y a common man is made to suffer in dis pool of shit... people who do such nuisance r not affected at all... c'mon, dis city which never stops is being held at ransom... thankfully its quite long weekend ahead and only one more day of dis silly strike...

year end PP

hi folks... its year end time for the quarterly project party... so after lots of discussion, we decided to go 4 skiing.... wait.. skiing... noooooo.. i just went for skiing d other week n was in no mood to go again.... n thr r lots others who were not interested ... so finally we decided to go 4 bowling followed by a dinner... d plan was to start bowling at 5:00 pm but as evryone came by IST so we cud start only at 6:00 PM EST ;-) so thr was evryone to prove themselves at the bowlin lane n we had experts opinion cmng for the novices... some got clean strikes... few missed on evry shot while some like us had thr shots...
n den... d clock showewd it was 7:00 n time 2 leave... we headed towards zen palate at 46th st 9th Ave.... 4 dinner... dinner at 7:00.. aain.. sounds somewat out of place... not at 7:00.... so we ordered some snacks.. soups n started antakshri... though it was hard to persuade d kishore kumars, sonu nigams n lata mangeshkars to sing... hehe :D... slowly d volume started 2 increase... it was a small restaurant n other than us only 2-3 tables occupied.. so thankfully nobody objected... den we realized dat we hvnt ordered nethng for last half n hour n the restaurant guys might not throw us out... so we decided to order main course... it was continental restaurant so we cud get only noodles n rice.. hehe.. just kiddin... we ordered some unknown dishes n had stomach full of them... it was different frm routine food so infact it was more delicious... after hvng food, we headed bak to times square to hv some ice creams or coffee or watever... but den nobody was interested so people just left to thr destinations except myself, chandu n prabir..
we hanged arnd for some time... prabir had dis book abt the history of manhatten n he started to bore(coz m never interested in history... live 4 future, man...) us wid wateer was writen in dat.. but finally he realized so he stopped n den after spendin some quality time at the heart of US, we headed towards our home...

no wat... m gettin really bored now-a-days... currently hv no idea wat 2 do in my freee time... was lookin for a place whr i can spend some time.. write my thots... no frm othrs wat they think abt those thots... so someone told me abt blogspot.com... i no its very much 'in' thing but normally i m away frm this kind of stuff... its quite possible dat dis cud become my last posting... or if i like dis place, u wil find me cmng again n again.... we wil get to know of dis in cmng days... so all, keep ur fingers crossed... here we go.... :D
